At Draft Touchdowns, we believe that every play matters, and with our carefully crafted scoring system, we reward your strategic decisions and every great performance. Here’s how it works:

1. Individual Performance

Every player on your team contributes to your score. Here’s how personal actions earn you points:

  • Goal Scored: +6 points
  • Assist: +4 points
  • Clean Sheet (Goalkeepers/Defenders): +4 points
  • Goalkeeper Save: +1 point per 3 saves
  • Yellow Card: -1 point
  • Red Card: -3 points

2. Team Performance

Your players are only as good as their team’s performance. Here’s how team success affects your score:

  • Team Win: +3 points (Player must participate for 60+ minutes)
  • Team Draw: +1 point
  • Team Defeat: 0 points

3. Captain Bonus

Choose your captain wisely! Your captain’s points are doubled, giving you a strategic advantage if you pick a top performer.

4. Special Achievement Bonuses

Exceptional performances deserve extra rewards! Here are some bonus points for standout moments:

  • Best Player of the Match: +5 points
  • Hat-Trick: +6 bonus points
  • More than 5 Goalkeeper Saves: +3 points
  • Decisive Moment (e.g., game-winning goal): +3 points

5. Penalties

While we love rewarding great plays, some actions reduce your score:

  • Conceded Goals (Goalkeepers/Defenders): -1 point per goal
  • Penalty Caused: -3 points
